 The occurrence of this year's college fair is very helpful for many students especially juniors and sophomores. When students are given the tools to learn more about their future, it's incredibly useful for students in the long run. Unfortunately some students were not given the chance to use this tool. Many current seniors never got a chance to experience the college fair. However, these same students have now become more determined to get underclassmen to go to the college fair, due to how beneficial they know the fair is.
  Senior Mary Norkol says, “I would have loved to have the opportunity to learn about local colleges and find out what I did and didn't want in a school.”

The cardio room is full of new equipment like ellipticals and treadmills. Money from the PEP grant has helped purchase these tools. “We have lots of new equipment: basketballs, birdies for badminton, tons of new cardio equipment. Most every piece of equipment in the cardio room is brand new,” says PE teacher Ryan Bartosiewski. The technology has improved PE classes and Stillwater is starting to be known for its program.

Max Ylitalo's recent science fair project recently won not only the Da Vinci Fest, but also the Science Talent Search. He was one of only four chosen from Minnesota. "I designed a new method for producing ethanol from waste paper that is more cost effective than using corn. The project is called 'Experimental Design Optimization of Surfactant Enhanced Waste Paper Hydrolysis" Ylitalo said.

Seeing the Eiffel Tower, visiting local sites, the shops and restaurants as well as see the beautiful museums in Paris. Many memories were made and the mites had a lot of fun during this hockey festival which made for a fun-filled weekend for mites hockey players.   "It was super family friendly. I saw tons of families. Grandparents, brothers and sisters, parents watching these kids. It was great pond hockey like old fashioned pond hockey which was fun for the kids," says Ligday. Senior and student ambassador Paige Anderson advises an incoming sophomore at Pony Possibilities night. As a part of the ambassadors program, she helps advise students about classes they should take from a high schooler's, rather than a teacher’s perspective.
