Students cast in Phipps production ‘Once Upon A Mattress’
In this beloved musical comedy, students are imitating a story from the broadway classic. Princess Winifred arrives at Prince Dauntless the Drab’s castle hoping for the hand of the prince. His mother, Queen Agravain, insists that her son can only marry a princess of true blood one that can feel a pea that is underneath a pile of mattresses. Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you will never look at fairy tales quite the same way again. The Phipps Production located in Hudson, Wisc. are casting the show on Fridays, March 9 Saturdays, March 10, 17, 24 & 31, Sundays, March 11, 18 and 25.
