Set in a vibrant world, Palworld invites players on a journey to befriend and tame a wide variety of creatures known as “Pals.” These Pals come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

Each with their own unique set of abilities. Players can train their Pals for battles and for helping the player complete various tasks.

PalWorld was released on Jan.19 for Xbox Series X, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows (PC). Pocketpair, the Japanese studio behind PalWorld, is unique because they are a newer studio (2015) compared to big name studios such as  Ubisoft (1986), and Bandai Namco (2006). PalWorld is Pocketpair’s fourth and most successful title as a company.

PalWorld’s gameplay gives the player freedom to do whatever they want, it blends elements of creature collecting, crafting, and exploring. PalWorld uses elements from other successful games such as Minecraft (2011) and Pokemon (various different games).

PalWorld offers an immersive experience for players of all ages. Whether that’s going off to battle, going on quests for rewards, or just relaxing.”

PalWorld offers an immersive experience for players of all ages. Whether that’s going off to battle, going on quests for rewards, or just relaxing. Unlike most games that require the player to complete a storyline, PalWorld allows the player to freely explore and learn how to survive with other players.

Graphically, PalWorld impresses players with colorful visuals, character designs, and its open world environment. Every nook and cranny in the game is full of detail and personality that makes it unique from other games. This attention to detail is present in almost every aspect of the game, immersing players in a world that’s unique and vibrant. The game also doesn’t require the newest software, being able to run on various different consoles such as the Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, and on Microsoft Windows.

PalWorld is special because it is still an early access game. The game is constantly getting revised and improved on with help from the proud community of players and developers. Improving the game with polished graphics, small errors in gameplay and expanding the game with new Pals, quests, and areas for the players to explore.

However, with the excitement surrounding its release, PalWorld finds itself in the middle of controversy due to a lawsuit that was filed by Nintendo, alleging copyright infringement and trademark violations. The lawsuit is for similarities between PalWorld and Nintendo’s popular Pokemon franchise, specifically in character designs and gameplay mechanics. While Pocketpair the studio behind PalWorld has denied the allegations made by Nintendo, the controversy has hurt the game’s stellar reputation.

Despite the ongoing lawsuit, PalWorld still remains one of the most popular games of the year. With its amazing visuals, addictive gameplay, and storytelling, makes it a standout title in the world of gaming.
