Dylan Cook, Visual Arts Managing Editor

Dylan Cook is a creative, outgoing, and outstanding sixteen year old student at Stillwater Area High School. Dylan enjoys photography, music, and snowboarding. He can often be found downtown shooting photos and snowboarding at Hyland Hills. Dylan has an abundance of friends and is widely regarded as a hip young teen.

The big three. These three popular fast food locations are considered healthier and as a result have seen great success in recent months. Jimmy John seems to be the healthiest place, Ben Olson says. I honestly get food by how I’m feeling. If I want a burger I’ll go to McDonalds, If I want Mexican, Chipotle. It all depends on how I’m feeling.

The Pony Market is run by two student groups. The special education department runs and attends the market while the student council oversees the market. We thought it was a great opportunity to partner with two groups in school, special education teacher Dusty Dennis says.

The central location of the Pony Market makes it convenient and puts it in a place that many pass through every day. As a result, people can visit before school or when they are passing in between classes. We had that space open so we decided to use it, student council member Eve Thompson says .

The Pony Market is open from 7:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on both Wednesdays and Fridays. The hours allow for student access during any hour and passing time throughout the day. I think its a great addition to the school. Now that I know about it I will use it all the time, junior Calvin Brinda says.

Students now have the ability to purchase Clif bars, Slim Jims and gum during the school day. Instead of having to stop at vending machines between classes, students can stop at the Pony Market. People need food during the day, people want to be able to buy stuff cheaper than it is other places, student council member Eve Thompson says.

The Pony Market sells a variety of different apparel items. Short sleeve shirts cost $10, sweatshirts cost $25 and sweatpants cost $20. Its a great opportunity to sell some stuff for school spirit that doesnt cost a million dollars, special education teacher Dusty Dennis says.

MIA showcases works that they have obtained over the 100 years that they have been open. I got to see pieces that I hadnt seen. I got to see the original, said senior Paige Polzin.

Delacroix exhibit brings Minneapolis world class art

One of the main entrances to the MIA. This entrance leads almost directly to the Delacroix exhibition. I was really surprised by how many amazing artists there were, Polzin said, I was kind of blown away.
