Many members of society assume someone is cool for wearing certain brands of clothing or looking a certain way. Many forget that cool should be personality based rather than materialized. Junior Melissa Mcelin says, “People tend to think that all of the mainstream clothing stores like Lululemon, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and Pacsun are cool. I’m not saying that they aren’t cool, I myself shop at some of them but it’s when people buy things that they think other people will like and they aren’t buying them for themselves.”

A crowd of last year's ice cream social attendees. A total of about 1200 came to the event, and over 1200 ice cream cones were given away. "The most popular flavor was probably Peppermint BonBon," says Leo's Grill and Malt Shop owner Cory Buettner. Leo's has generously donated all of the ice cream, cones and coffee to the event for the past several years.
