Noah Tussey’s first game for the USHL
Sophomore Noah Tussey committed to the University of Minnesota and made his first appearance for the United States Hockey League April 5.
Tussey had an opportunity to play in the United States Hockey League, and took full advantage scoring two goals for the Sioux City Musketeers. The Musketeers won the game and went on to playoffs, but fell short to Sioux Falls after and ending there playoff run.
Tussey commented on the game, “Honestly, I was was just trying not to mess up. I wasn’t planning on scoring or doing anything like that I just wanted to play hard and not make any mistakes.”
During the 2018-2019 high school season, Tussey ended up with 13 goals and 22 assist giving him 33 points on the season. Tussey was not the only one producing for the team though, he got added support from his line mates who play very well together.
Line mate and senior Adam Eisele said, “The line chemistry was great. We just fed off each other. We always Knew where each other were and we were just great together.”
Together Tussey’s line scored 102 points in the season. Line chemistry is one of the most important things in hockey, the team is only as weak as their weakest link. Together the combo of sophomore Noah Tussey, senior Adam Eisele, and junior Joe Stengl was deadly wreaking havoc on the scoring sheet, and giving other teams trouble stopping them.
Junior Joe Stengl thinks, “He worked his butt off to get where he is at and his determination helped me and made work my butt off to compete with him.”
During the season Tussey was named assistant captain for work ethic and determination. Tussey assisted Eisele, senior Jesse Brown, senior Joe Raleigh, and junior Ryan Roeske for the captains of the 2018-19 hockey season all named captain for great team play and great leadership.
Tussey knows he got to where he is at today with hard working and determination and that is the only thing that will keep him moving forward. with a mindset like that he is knows there is no limit to his hockey ability.
“A lot of hard work goes into it, obviously, and I am willing to do what ever it takes”.
