ETS trainer and assistant defensive coordinator Lucas Garbe leads the football team to success this season. Just this past year, Garbe has not only helped the team stay positive after losses, but has helped them in many other ways. The football team has reached new heights and much of their success can be contributed to the dedication of Garbe. By creating intense physical conditioning with strategic coaching, he has not only transformed the players’ fitness and skills, but has also helped the team with discipline, resilience and teamwork.
First, Garbe’s proficiency in the weight room is crucial for the team’s performance on the field. ETS Sports and Performance provides young, knowledgeable and dedicated trainers who aim to positively impact the school and the team. Just this past year, Garbe has dedicated his time to the football team’s accuracy in the weight room and on the field. Overall, the Ponies football team have carried on important words this past season, accountability and unity, and that is what has kept their hearts and minds in the game.
Moreover, Garbe is leading not only the football team to success, but many other athletes of different sports in Stillwater.
Head coach Beau LaBore describes how he has been great for the school because he trains other athletes as well as being an assistant football coach.
Even after the Ponies lost the playoffs, Garbe positively impacted the team, and has shown the players to keep putting in work even after games that do not go their way.
Garbe has impacted the team in many ways throughout each week until up to the game, the motivation he brings to the players help their skills advance.
“If he is not doing a great job in the weight room, then there is no chance for Friday nights,” LaBore said.
Most of all, Garbe enjoys the time with the athletes and pushes them to take bigger steps to greatness each practice and game.
“My favorite part is just the different characters of every kind, every kid is different here. It’s challenging and also makes my day just working with the kids and being able to help out,” Garbe said.
Most of all, Garbe not only pushes them mentally, but physically. He pushes the team to the limits by helping them “get faster, stronger, and most importantly, keeping them healthy for the upcoming season.”
In addition, the dedication of Garbe has made an undeniable po
sitive impact on the football team and the school as a whole. His commitment to developing players both physically and mentally has helped build a stronger, more resilient team. Other than the techniques and lifts, he fosters an environment of growth, discipline and unity that goes beyond the field. Garbe will continue to help beginne
r and skilled athletes to reach their goals. With his guidance, the team not only excels in performance but also builds character as a whole in the upcoming seasons.
