Olivia Weirtz, Print Editor-In-Chief

Olivia Weirtz is a senior and Print Editor-in-Chief. She started as an In-Studio anchor her junior year with The Pony Express and has since switched to layout. She is also vice president of Key Club. Olivia enjoys playing with her dog, and hanging out with her friends. She works as a babysitter, and at a jewelry company in Woodbury.

Seth preparing to defend the goal. “He is fast and big. He reacts well to the puck and it is so hard to beat him,” senior Mason Bartosh says.

Seth, watching carfeully as his defense helps protect the goal. “I like to think to myself that I’d be a good defensemen, like seniors Jesse Bjugstad or Jack Mapstone, but I think I’m better at goalie,” Seth says.

Seth, waiting for the game to heat up again. He works hard every game to preserve a good record for the team and to keep the possibility of state alive. “I definitely want to make it to the state tournament again because it’s just a dream to play in the Xcel,” Seth says.

Senior and student ambassador Paige Anderson advises an incoming sophomore at Pony Possibilities night. As a part of the ambassadors program, she helps advise students about classes they should take from a high schooler's, rather than a teacher’s perspective. Paige says, “If you didn’t know if you were qualified for a certain course you can get a teacher’s perspective and they’ll tell you it’s good for college, but a student will tell you what it’s actually like.”

Juniors Noah Jakupciak and Mitch Bailey discuss possible comedy techniques to review and enjoy a laugh together. Mitch Bailey says, "I thought it was really fun that people can get together for a few laughs and it's a great atmosphere with lots of funny and great people!"

Information about sports, club, academics and activities were all available to students at Pony Possibilities night. They were able to walk around with their parents to observe different things they might be interested in once at the high school. Incoming sophomore Isabel Bartosh says, “I think they should make it a bit longer, because I was not able to go and look at all of the booths they set up.”

Theater club members Lee Menzel, Sam Flipp and Emma Harvieux show incoming sophomore Taylor Weisbrod some of the highlights about theater club. This was one of several extracurricular booths at Pony Possibilities night, showcasing activities the students can get involved in outside academics. Taylor was even given an exclusive backstage tour, allowing her to see where the theater club spends time. Senior Emma Harvieux says, “It’s so great, you get to meet so many people in theater.”

The art program showcased some of the talents that it sees in art classes and Art Club. Mr. Koltun was sitting at the art table, and was there to answer questions for students about the different art classes available at the high school level. Mr. Koltun represented the program as a whole, and this was true of several other departments at the event. Mr. Koltun says, “Just having the chance to see a face with the department opens doors.”

Students at the event were able to promote their clubs and organizations, which enabled incoming sophomores to get a perspective from fellow students. Parent Sandy Bartosh said, "I liked how they talked about the athletics and numerous other clubs and extra curriculars that are available to students."

The bowling team gathers near the lanes to show off their advancement to state. Coach Gibson said after they won, "You could see their excitement when they realized they were going to the state tournament."
