Human genome project advances understanding of genes
April 2, 2014
In California there are currently procedures involving alterations of the human cells in unborn babies. The whole point of the human genome project was to prevent diseases that run in the family, but people who can afford to alter the cells misuse the procedure and change traits such as eyes, hair, etc.
What the human genome project does is allow researchers to get a better understanding of what genes are potentially causing diseases, and how to get rid of them.
Altering the cells for a medical purpose is the whole reason it came about. Scientists found a way to change cells that are harmful to the baby’s future.
Any alterations that are made to the child’s cells pass on through the future generations. Using such an expensive procedure to change how someone’s baby is going to look is inhumane and unjust.
The human genome project has allowed researchers to discover the genes of 1,800 diseases and counting. The project is successful and helps doctors correctly diagnose patients with tests.
With the help of the human genome project, researchers can help make the future a safer place from diseases by attempting to eliminate the bad genes. It is a great discovery that was made and can benefit people more than harm them.
A future outcome that is expected of the project is being able to tell when someone is going to die and what possible ways there are to avoid death.
Human life is a natural thing. Changing genes and trying to dodge death aren’t natural. If people 60 years ago could live there lives the way that humans are supposed to, the current and future generations shouldn’t be finding ways to change the fate of the human population.
Not only are researchers finding ways to change genes in the human body, they are attempting to change animals and plants as well. By mixing organisms and altering genes they are finding ways to make plants and animals taste better.
Technology is advancing at such an alarming rate that some people can’t begin to fathom what is going on. Changing how plants and animals are grown and born is taking the alterations to a whole new level that should not have been reached because the earth will run its course and it should be allowed to.
There are many effects of the human genome project that have completely changed science today. The technology available to researchers is endless and can be used as tools to further their research.
The human body is so complex, and for researchers to be able to understand so many things about the genes is quite advanced. Technology now versus even 20 years ago is changing so often that it’s hard to keep up. As it keeps advancing there will be more efficient ways to understand the human body. Technology will never stop advancing and there will always be more things for researchers to study and learn about.

The links at the bottom of the article are unnecessary because they are already linked to the words inside of the article itself, but the article is well written and I agree with your stance on the subject.

There are quite a few errors in this article but your point still comes a crossed loud and clear. I appreciate how direct your stance is and the facts you used to back it up.
