Thirty girls. Carefully handpicked down to three. Then eventually to one. This one lucky girl may end up married to the most eligible Bachelor in America. At least this is the idea.

In the popular ABC TV series, The Bachelor one man has a once in a lifetime opportunity to find a woman to marry. The Bachelor tends to air in the early spring while some past seasons have aired both in the spring and fall. Thirty girls, recently increased from 25, will all compete to win the heart of the current Bachelor. Only one will win and the winner is guaranteed a $250,000 prize.

The current Bachelor, Peter Weber is 28 years old and is from Westlake Village, Calif. Weber is a pilot for Delta Airlines.

Currently, only two girls remain. Hannah Ann Sluss, 23 from Knoxville, Tenn. and Madison Prewett, 23 from Auburn, Ala. In the latest episode, Prewett left the bachelor stranded after hearing that Weber had intimate relations with the other contestants. While it seemed like she would get booted off of the show for leaving, it appears Weber has other plans.

“There has been no hiccups until this and that is what everyone is caught up on. I can see past this,” Weber said in part one of the season finale.

While fans speculate that Sluss will be the victor, others disagree.

Junior Kenzie Wilhelm thinks Prewett will win because she is kind and pretty.

Fans speculate that they know who will win the Bachelor, even though Weber himself says he does not know who will win. Some fans researched and found that of the remaining two girls, only one has her Venmo private. Weber’s Venmo is also private. Venmo, owned by Paypal, is a popular mobile payment service. By this information, they believe Hannah Ann Sluss will be the victor.

“I did some detective work last week and Pilot Pete is friends with Hannah Ann on Venmo. So I’m calling it that she will be the winner,” Twitter user @SpencerRamer said on Jan. 6.

While shows like The Bachelor are fun in theory, these shows are highly unrealistic. Many people on the show do not marry and tend to break up soon after the show. Currently, of the 23 seasons, only two couples are currently still married.

Junior Carter Nodes added so many people subject themselves to the harsh reality of these TV shows because “when people want to find love, they will find it in weird places.”
