Weight shaming occurring on social media
Our modern culture in association with social media seemingly paints a clear image for what beauty and health should look like. People who do not fit the picture are often looked down upon. Two of these are Skinnyism and Fatism. Harassment is the unfortunate consequence to those who seem unfit by society. In a world where there are fitness studios and gyms on every block, it is no surprise that people who do not conform to this, or can not gain or lose weight the same ways the person next to them, are treated with less respect because of their body.

Other than the green font being a little dificult to read on the grey boxes, Hailey did a great job using photoshop skills to create a story that draws readers in and is easy to follow. The quotes are very real and effective, and I think they will speak to readers. Great job Hailey!

This alt copy shows a great design and captures the viewer’s interest right off the bat. Along with being well laid out and designed it gets the topic across right away and navigates a sensitive topic very well.

I thought this was a really interesting topic. I know Audra and I’ve heard a little bit about her perspective on this topic, but it was nice to hear more about it. I didn’t understand the design of the alt copy (the waist) until I really looked at it, but the measuring tape was a good addition nevertheless.

Really great story that affects students! Well written and designed, though there is a bit too much white space in graphic.

Very well written and clearly states the issue. The information clearly is organized allowing for the reader to follow it correctly. It’s easily worded and 100 percent easy to follow and understand.
