J.K Rowling agrees to direct new movies

The world of Harry Potter, which has fascinated readers and moviegoers alike for many years will soon be returning in a series of new films. Famous authoress, J.K Rowling, will now be taking on the new role of screenwriter for these upcoming Warner Bros. films.
Rowling’s new films will be based on the Hogwart’s textbook “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and will be set 70 years before Harry Potter’s story began in the fictional wizarding world. The plot will follow Newt Scamander, the supposed author of the book.
Many are excited for what this new plotline will bring.
“I think Newt Scamander will be a great protagonist, and I think the world will be fascinating. We’ll get to see the wizarding world outside of England or Hogwarts, and back in time. I think it’s brilliant,” said junior Emma Steinmetz.
“I like the idea of a new protagonist. It’s not like they could have kept Harry around. I also really like the fact that it’s set in the past. I’m interested in how they’ll show the wizarding world in the times before most of us know it,” said senior Caroline Mercer in agreement.
But there are still fears that these new movies may take away from the excellence of the original films based off of Rowling’s books.
“I don’t really see how they’re going to make a movie out of the Fantastical Creatures book, so I guess I’ll be interested in that. But overall, I feel like they’re currently just trying squeeze more money out of the series,” commented Mercer.
These new movies may have some difficulty living up to the popularity of the films based on the fictional adventures of Harry Potter, but with their own style they may become comparable.
“I think they’ll probably be around as popular. Essentially everyone in the fandom will see them, and they’ll probably attract new people too,” commented Steinmetz.
Mercer had a slightly different opinion, “I think the movies will be less popular than the originals, because most people have accepted that Harry Potter is over and these stories are a little less known. However, there will always be an incredibly loyal fanbase to make the movies successful enough.”
No matter whether people dislike the idea of new movies in the wizarding world of or embrace it, there is a general consensus that they will go see the movies. The Harry Potter fandom is so huge that there is no way these movies could be anything but a success.

I really like how bold the colors of the graphics are. The first paragraph was very intriguing and drew me in right away! I also like how the author got so many opinions on the new movies but I wish there was more about what the movies are going to be about!
