2015 public boating safety courses offered by USCG Aux

The Hudson Flotilla of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a series of public boat safety courses. About Boating Safety will be on Friday evening, 6 -9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The dates are 4/17-4/18, 5/29-5/30, 6/26-6/27. Completion of this 8-hour ABS course satisfies the Wisc. and Minn. operator requirements for both boats and personal watercraft.
A Boating Skills and Seamanship course series will be on Monday evenings, 6:30-9 p.m. The 4-session format is designed for the experienced and novice boater. The 4 sessions offered are: 1) Navigation Fundamentals on 3/9 and 3/16 and 2) Essential Boating Web Site and iPad Apps on 3/23 and 3) Essential Marine Knots on 3/30 and 4) Boat Handling and Close Quarter Maneuvering on 4/6, 4/13, and 4/20.
