Nike releases new sportswear line
October 17, 2013
Nike stores have their own professional athletes to sponsor their clothing lines. In the last few months Nike added four new lines of clothing for purchase: Lebron11 iD, Nike Pro Combat Hyperwarm, Nike Lunarglide 5 shield and NFL limited jersey.
Just this year, Nike has come out with a ton of new shoes, shorts, shirts and others of athlete’s daily apparel.
When basketball season rolls around, the players will have to prepare for the new year. It is an obligation to have all the preparation done for the season.
“A big thing I look for when I go to a Nike store is the basketball shoes,” said junior Matt Anderson. “They have to be sleek, with a cool design and a good cooling system,” he added.
Our culture today is always changing, especially technology and entertainment. The Nike line shows that what athletes wear mirrors culture.
“The new Nike line will have more variety and vibrant, cool colors that get people’s attention, ” said senior Mitch Bruggers, “Unlike the older stuff that is more outdated or original.”
For some of this new clothing it is a seasonal option, like the NFL jerseys which are only ready and fresh during the football season.
Junior Remi Larson said, “My dad gets all of his jerseys beforehand so he has them to watch the games in, and before they all sell out.”
When someone shops for clothing they sometimes have a specific brand in mind for what they want.
Larson said, “I play in a couple varsity sports and I really like the Under Armour, but I recently went for a long sleeve. I looked in the new section and got the Hyperwarm long sleeve, and it really keeps you warm.”
If someone goes on an early morning run, their feet are bound to get wet from the dew on the grass. With the Nike Lunarglide feet are shown to get 30 percent less wet.
Bruggers said, “I absolutely hate when you are practicing early in the morning and your socks are all damp and your feet are super wrinkled.”
There are many great quality sportswear options out there. Nike’s new line assures athletes that the clothing they wear while they perform their many different daily task, the clothing will not sell short of the job; it will work just as hard to support the buyer.

Great article and picture. Some words could be changed to make it flow a little bit smoother.

Good article and good photos! They fit really well! But the article could’ve been more descriptive for those unaware of Nike information!

Awesome photos on this article! The article was good and informative, with appropriate links. Be sure to write like the audience isn’t as savvy with the topic as you are. For example, someone who doesn’t know anything about sports could get lost in the first paragraph as they might not make the connection between the first and second sentences.
