Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Glass introduced

Forget about dunking the cookie in milk. Now the milk can be inside the cookie. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Glasses is a wonderful innovation allowing the enjoyment of milk from a cookie that is shaped like a drinking glass. So sit back and drink your milk and eat the cookie glass.
Dominique Ansel, known as the Cronut creator, has developed the Chocolate Chip Cookie Milk Glass. The cookie shaped glass has a chocolate coating on the inside to prevent the cookie from becoming soggy. He got the idea after he had eaten an Oreo cookie with a glass of milk for the first time.
“I feel like it’s difficult to expand this product because this kind of thing would only be good if made fresh,” said junior Cindy Prentice. “If mass produced, that would bring down the value.”
These things are selling at $3 for glass shaped cookie, chocolate coated interior and ice cold milk poured into the center to make the ultimate cookie treat.
“At $3 it’s kind of expensive and that adds up quickly,” said Prentice. “I would try it to see what all the fuss is about, but then probably never buy it again. I can just buy a cookie and milk for almost less.”
With this treat growing popular all over the country, some seem to think that they could improve this product to appeal to all people instead of just chocolate chip and white milk lovers.
“I think that this innovation could improve if you were able to choose the type of cookie you wanted and even the type of milk,” added Prentice. “This allows for more possible options and attract a larger range of customers.”
If Ansel was willing to expand the options that customers can choose from to create their own cookie masterpiece, this could become a bigger deal. However, his pre-fame from the Cronut could have an affect on the popularity of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Shots.
“I definitely think that with his previous fame of the Cronut, these ‘Shots’ have become popular,” said junior Lauren Kelzenberg. “Whereas if these were invented in a little bakery, they might not have been so popular.”
These sweet treats have been introduced to very few bakeries around the Twin Cities Area. It would be nice to see some bakeries in the Stillwater area with these delicious treats.
“It would be great to see some bakeries here in Stillwater that have these treats,” said Kelzenberg. “I would love to be able to try one without having to go all the way to the [Twin] Cities.”
Without having many people try these sweet innovations it is unclear if they will become as big as the Cronut. Hopefully, we will see them come to Stillwater soon so we can enjoy the delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Shots created by Ansel.

This is cool idea, but I see it becoming a big mess if the cookie crumbles- literally. Part of what makes eating cookies with milk is getting the milk to taste like the cookie, which probably doesn’t happen if the inside of the cup is coated with chocolate (which still doesn’t sound too bad). This article had great detail and strong quotes, but some cheerleading at the end.
