The Minnesota Zoo offered a special during the cold winter months featuring reduced ticket prices. Many people took advantage of the special. Nico Coen said, “I had a lot of fun at the zoo. It was nice to get out of the cold and also see some cool animals!”

With temperatures so cold this winter, Minnesotans had a hard time being active and going out to do things. Minnesota Zoo decided to have a seasonal special due to the “Worst Winter Ever”. From Feb. 26 to March 7 the zoo offered admission for only $10 compared to the usual $18 for adults. Visitors can escape the harsh cold and  treat themselves to an indoor bird show, or even take a walk through the zoo’s Tropics Trail.

“I had a lot of fun at the zoo. It was nice to get out of the cold and also see some cool animals!” said junior Nico Coen who took advantage of this special. This special helped a lot of Minnesotans get out of the cold and have a lot of fun at the zoo.
