Peterson is known to being funny and comfortable to be around. She also has her focus when it is needed. “On the team, Greta is super focused and competitive. She definitely is dedicated to swimming and wants to do well,” Hill said.

She is excited for the new swim and nordic season and is seen with the abilities to lead next year. “I see Greta being responsive, considerate, and team oriented,” Weston said.

Her start in swimming was all thanks to Mrs. Luke the swim coach at club. “Seeing Mrs. Luke ran the club she would go around and encourage anyone who wasn’t on the high school team to join it,” Peterson said.

“I always longed to be captain ever since 7th grade, but didn’t actually believe I would be one. I just thought the super fast and popular athletes were voted on, but when my teammates told me they were gonna vote for me. I was shocked,” Peterson said.

Peterson’s journey for skiing has brought her far and not knowing how to ski at first, shows how much she has improved her skills. Her start for the love of skiing began with “many of my swim friends decided to start it and encouraged me to,” Peterson said.
