Aaron Yang is a 16 year old junior at Stillwater Area High School. He likes to play video games, volleyball, soccer, and many more. He has 1 older brother, and one younger sister. He loves to go to Wisconsin to visit his family there. Yang’s staff job is a social media reporter in Arts and Entertainment.

“Photojournalism is a category of photography for news, and it’s where maybe the news journalists go to a certain part of a country as part of the story that they’re trying to find,” Photography teacher Christina Weese says.

Photojournalism: vital form of news

“You become oblivious to the fact that the picture drew you in after you start reading. People forget all about the photo,” Wasieleski says. “I think they should remember the photo from the article because it attracted them and then interested them.”

“I think it should be more recognized because it's a big part of articles that captures your eye,” Junior Keith Wasieleski says. “Nobody really gets too interested into a newspaper that doesn't have pictures now a days.”

Boettcher is helping a student measure the grams of the water in the container on a measuring equipment. "The extra time just gives me time to help students after school, or during school, and prepare for my classes," Boettcher says.

Boettcher is observing his students scooping out fish one at a time from the fish tank. "It's a pleasure to see students able to take that area and move on into careers," Boettcher says.

This is the right wing of the science hallway where Boettcher's classroom is located. "I admire that Mr. Boettcher likes to teach the class I enjoy the most," junior Mac Cernohous says.

This is the entrance of the classroom where Glenn Boettcher teaches. His room number is C125, and he teaches Food Science, Animal Science, Forestry, and etc.

Cook wins Scholastic Art’s Gold Key award

The students are auditioning for the school musical Pippin. The students are singing two music pieces that are part of the musical. Corner of the Sky by The Jackson 5, and The Right Track Stephen Schwartz.

The young actors and actresses perform their sketch on stage in the auditorium. "I think the more you do something, the more comfortable and confident and easier it gets, although it’s always a process, so you’re always learning." Sadow said.
