Academy Awards showcase best aspects of film industry
This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Academy Awards, otherwise known as the “Oscars.” It is a ceremony which recognizes excellence in the American film industry. This year’s host, Jimmy Kimmel, will be announcing and presenting the winners of the 24 categories with an Oscar. Who are the “Academy”, and why are we thanking them? The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are a society of over 6,000 people who involve themselves in the production of movies. The Academy is composed of various branches pertaining to the different roles of movie making, such as animation, acting and directing. The members vote within their own category to determine the final recipients of the awards, hence why they receive a great amount of thanks each year.

I love this alt-copy I think it is very visually interesting and it showcases something that all of us have seen, the Oscars! This is a fun way to show some of the films that were up for and eventually won awards! Great job!

I like how clean this Alt. Copy was. It gave a lot of description and I also like how the graph was put in, it gives a nice visual instead of words. I also like how the picture of the theater is the background as it pulls everything together.

I thought this story was laid out really well. I loved how you put the trophy in the middle of it, and even gave stats on its height and weight; that was a nice touch. However, the text to preview the story was the same used in the story itself. It was very redundant.

I like this alt copy very much. The setup looks great with the award in the middle ad all the facts and quotes around it very well done. I also like the background, it goes very well with the font color along with main picture.
