The new outstanding Future Nurses Club is a hands-on look into the world of healthcare. The Future Nurses club allows students to get a feel of their future, gain valuable skills, collaborate with peers, and connect with real-life healthcare professionals. Future Nurses Club is a unique opportunity for those students seeking the healthcare professions. The club engages in enjoyable volunteering activities, examples of this are blanket making and card writing to the children’s hospitals, along with a food drive to help those in need. The cub isn’t all about community help it also goes over information about nursing and terminology to help prepare.
Club leaders, Aurora Awenson and Anne Mcglynn expressed their passion for being future healthcare workers and wanting to guide other peers in the right direction. They plan to help eliminate the intimidation students might have about the future and guide them.
Aurora states “There isn’t a club out there like it to help guide us towards that specific path. So we wanted to help others be guided by that as well.” “It’s gonna help students because if they are unsure if they want to go into that path, or they want to go into that path, they are intimidated by kind of the process, it can be more clear cut for them when we talk about that specific sort of stuff.”
High school student, Maisie Rix believes the club is the best opportunity for people to get to know the healthcare industry, and a wonderful way to meet new people, make new friends, and just learn more about the healthcare profession. “I think they’d find it interesting and a great opportunity to meet new people and just be active in the school.” 11th grader, Maisie Rix states.
New freshman, Stella Bruno provides insight on her thoughts and views of the new club available to her. The Future Nurses Club is a great preparation for her upcoming years. She states This is an amazing quote and inspiring for her peers.
