On Logic’s newest single, 44 More, the rapper incorporates lyrics on a number of topics. The lyrics start out him talking about himself and his recent accomplishments as a singer.  The song continues on to one of the more notable parts where he talks about his most recent successes on his third studio album titled “Everybody,” which includes his most popular song, “1-800-273-8255” and the amount of money he has made off of that song.  Logic then goes on adding how he will not spend that on material items to uphold a reputation from people he does not know.  This has always been a topic for the rapper, as he strives to not let the fame get to his head. Towards the end of the song the rapper adds a section noting the amount of albums he sold in the first week his album “Everybody” was released. The rapper sold 247,000 copies of his album, topping Katy Perry and Harry Styles, as noted in the song.  Although this seems like a blow to the other artists, Logic ensured fans and media it was not to trash them and the line is a celebration of how far the genre has come and can now compete with pop.  This also is a way Logic is saying people should begin recognizing him, since he is putting out good music that he is able to compete with pop stars who have been around much longer, something almost unheard of until this point in music history.  Logic is one of the most notorious rappers due to his articulation, and speed he is able to rap at. In 44 More, he raps at 7.1 syllables per second in lines 15-20 as well as 41-44.  The title 44 More comes from the 44 bars that make up this song.  This follows the song 44 Bars from his 2016 mixtape, “Bobby Tarantino,” which is the prequel to this song and each song has exactly 44 Bars as well.
