New and popular iPhone cases
October 28, 2015
It is the most popular phone on the market around the world, an iPhone. The vast majority of students own an iPhone, but if someone is going to splurge on a fancy expensive phone, they will need a case to protect it. Many people only wear a case for looks, others for protection.
One case that is almost necessary if someone is constantly taking their phone into nature, or if they are just a clutz, is a Lifeproof case. They are bulky compared to some cases, but the protection is above any other. People can also use their iPhone underwater with a Lifeproof case, so if that’s something someone is interested in it is worth the $30 to $40.
Sophomore Will Leba said his favorite kind of case is a Lifeproof case. “I am usually out and about so having a large amount of protection is needed. I also am able to take pictures and videos in any weather condition, that’s one if my favorite features,” Leba said.
Lifeproof is a best seller, it almost makes an iPhone in-destructive, which is a plus. Although it is decently bulky and larger than most cases, it really is not one a person would be drawn to for looks.
Speck is one of the most popular and top reviewed cases. They are not too bulky, but still give enough protection. They also are a very good price for the quality, usually between $20 to $30.
Junior Pad Dabruzzi talked about his choice in iPhone cases. “I have a Speck case. It’s green and clear, I mainly wear it for protection but I also like the appearance of it. It’s not full protection to my phone, but it’s just enough,” said Dabruzzi.

One last popular brand of cases is OtterBox. The most popular case sold by them are the Commuter Series Case. This case gives a lot of protection yet is still smaller and sleek. It comes in a wide variety of colors and to many people is more attractive than most high protection cases.
Allan Brandt, a parent of a student attending Stillwater, Emma Brandt, owns a Commuter Series Case. Allan said, “It protects my phone well. I dropped it accidentally on the driveway and it had no scratches on my phone at all. Without it my phone would have most definitely been damaged.”
If someone is looking for a case that is visually attractive, protective or both, there are many options out there with Speck, Lifeproof and Otterbox just being the top reviewed.

The photo that was taken was very creative and fed my curiousity to read further. The writing style was good, but it could have been more descriptive; I felt that when you talked about the three different cases, you could really go in-depth on the texture, color range, and design in order to paint a picture to people who don’t have iPhones or, if they do, need a case to suit their needs. The structure in which the article was written was fluid and easy to follow along. The grammar itself could improve, but aside from the repeated paragraph about Lifeproof, it wasn’t anything that people would look twice at. Great job, Laura!

Over all was a good article. I was interested in it because there is a large varsity of cases out there and I was wondering about whats new. The grammar and mechanics in this article could be improved. There is one paragraph that gets repeated. This article could have been improved by making it longer and more in depth with more quotes.

I love my IPhone and my case that’s why I chose to read this article. This article was well written with lots of good information about certain cases and their prices. It was good to tell you what kind of case people need depending on if they are clumsy or not. I liked it a lot.

This gives such good information! It lets me known what cases are worth their prices! Gives me the information required to know what kind of case I need for my clumsiness. The only thing I would change is putting all of the information about lifeproof back to back instead of going to speck and back to lifeproof!
