Jack Reinseth is junior this year at the high school. He has played hockey for ten years now. Jack loves his family and has two dogs and one cat. Jack is a distribution reporter for The Pony Express.

Any kind of books can be donated from picture books to long novels. Franke says, “The best part about book drives is people can donate any kind of books, so in theory anyone can receive or get a book from the drive.”

Boys hockey captains prepare to bring back gold

Photo by Jack Reinseth- The team last year has many players who will return this year are hungry to get back to the tourney and finish even better. Pete Hamilton says, “I think this team is as strong as last, maybe even better.”

Stillwater hosts the biggest day of hockey in MN this year. The captains and team are very excited for that day to come it’s a huge honor and a once in a lifetime experience. Cates says, “Hockey day will not only be exciting for the team, but also for the city of Stillwater.”

Photo by Jack Reinseth- This is a picture of the state hockey tournament. Manning says, “There’s definitely unfinished business from last year, having lost our second and third games in the tourney. We expected a lot more last year, but all the more reason to work harder to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”

Picture of two the practice fields behind the school. This will allow players to play no matter the weather with no cancellations. Michael said, We’ve been able to pull our games off of the grass fields onto the turf, we haven’t had to cancel anything.

Photo By Jack Reinseth - Picture of the new turf fields. With the new turf fields it allows us to always be able to use it no matter the weather. Michael said even when we had two and a half inches of rain we played our soccer games through it.

Picture of one of the turf fields. There has been no problems with the turf fields and everything is looking up. Michael said, we haven’t had to cancel anything, the only thing that delays us is lightning and we’ve never had the turf puddle yet and even when we had the two and a half inches of rain.

Panoramic of the practice fields. The turf gives anyone the ability to go up to the high school to practice their abilities or just to have some fun. Fernandez said, “My friends and I use the turf every weekend to play some backyard football. We always know that there is a great source that always has great conditions at our disposal. With the turf it allows me and the guys just to go have some fun.”

Lay out of the big field. This will help the players play to the best of their abilities. Yeary said “I think the turf makes a positive impact on the players. In my opinion its a lot better than grass because its easier to maintain, its nicer to play on, and when it rains its not muddy the next day, which no player likes to play in.”
