WAP by Cardi B. and Megan Thee Stallion

In 2020 Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion collaborated on the song “WAP”. On August 7,2020 it was released. Although it was not a very appropriate song, it reached the top on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It debuted at number one on Spotify as well as Apple Music. “WAP” quickly became known around the world and was extremely popular.

The music video itself racked up over 26 million views in its first 24 hours on YouTube, making it the biggest debut for an all-female collaboration on the platform. Many different parts of the song became trends on Tik Tok as well. After “WAP” came out, Megan Thee Stallion came out with a few new albums containing more popular hits. In her newer album “Good News”, the song “Body” became very popular.It was released November 20, 2020.  In the song, Stallion repeatedly sings the words “body-ody-ody-ody”. It is very catchy. Along with “WAP”, the song “Body” was also spread to the entire world on Tik Tok.

People would use the song to show off their bodys on tik tok. It was a way of spreading body awareness.There were people of many different sizes and shapes showing confidence about their body and how it’s okay to be different, but most of all, all bodies are perfect the way they are. Some other songs included in the “Good News” album were “Cry baby, Don’t stop, and Girls in the hood”.
