From a young age, senior Joey Lottsfeldt has always loved to make people laugh and a passion for making videos. After watching his favorite Youtube channel “Nelk Boys” for years, he decided to start a channel of his own. Lottsfeldt’s channel is called “Joefoshow Productions”, the channel focus on prank videos and anything to make viewers laugh.
Lottsfeldt started his channel in Sept. 2019. The channel started when Lottsfeldt did his first stunt of running across the football field during the homecoming game dressed head to toe in a red morph suit. Lottsfeldt did the stunt for a chance to win a giveaway where he would spend a week with the “Nelk Boys” in Spain.
“The stunt was inspired by the Nelk boys Youtube channel; they were giving away a chance to spend a week with them in Spain, I ran across the field and made my first youtube video from it. I didn’t end up getting noticed by them but it was still a crazy experience, and that’s what sparked everything,” Lottsfeldt said.
Lottsfeldt works to create a certain vibe with his channel, he wants people to “laugh and feel more positive”.
Creating videos and content is a lot of work, taking hours of footage and turning it into 15 minutes of something that keeps people interested. It takes upwards of two hours to edit, and around four hours to plan and film his videos. So, Lottsfeldt turned to his friends to help with his content. My goal is just to make a good living off it one day, I want to be an influencer. There’s not enough time to not chase your dreams, why not just go out there now, because why chase your dreams tomorrow when you can do it today and that’s exactly what I’m doing” — Joey Lottsfeldt
“Joey and I have always been pretty good friends and hung out for a while. I started helping him with his channel because we just click well together and have similar senses of humor,” senior Paul Wenzel said.
High list YouTubers can make upward of $20 million a year, they get paid off of views per video, ads in the videos, and how many people who subscribe to their channel.
“My goal is just to make a good living off it one day, I want to be an influencer. There’s not enough time to not chase your dreams, why not just go out there now, because why chase your dreams tomorrow when you can do it today and that’s exactly what I’m doing,” Lottsfeldt said.
Lottsfeldt has around 300 subscribers, and his channel is growing fast. It’s easy to get lost in fame and change who you really are.
“I think Joey is staying true to himself he’s always wanted to make people happy, and that’s what he’s doing,” Wenzel explained.
Lottsfeldt wants to continue to make people happy and bring a smile to their faces. He plans to keep working hard to grow his channel and make people laugh. “No matter how unrealistic or how stupid people tell you your dream is, chase it if you have a passion for it. Chase it because there’s too much time not to spend chasing your dreams,” Lottsfeldt said.
