Marvel’s newest edition ‘Black Panther’ looks to make a bang in viewers’ eyes

Many marvel fans wait in anticipation for the release of the newest marvel movie Black Panther. The action packed thriller is set to release in theaters on Feb. 16th. Black Panther looks to make a big impact on not only the marvel fan base but the Hollywood critics as well. While many wait for the release they do not know that following black history month, Black Panther is the first marvel movie with an all black cast and black director.
Black Panther has been hyped up to set the standards high for any future marvel movies. Black Panther is about Prince T’Challa who goes to his home country in Africa to take the throne of his deceased father. While doing so he must fight for his rightful spot in hopes to keep his people safe while doing so.
Marvel’s Black Panther is the first movie of the marvel series to have an all black cast. Due to this factor, the directors and producers of this show thought it was only right to air it in February, which happens to be Black History Month. Although fans think this may be a coincidence early viewers of the movie and sneak peaks, have come to show suttle and tricky hints and facts about black history month and the African American struggle embedded in the movie.

“I think it is really cool that they changed it up a bit and made the entire cast black. All the other movies have been somewhat the same so it’s refreshing to get the new perspective… I am excited to watch” sophomore Tyson Stene said. It seems that a change is what the majority wanted, on the Marvel fan page many requests for new plots, and a change in character roles have been submitted. Many also followed to express their emotions on how excited they are for an entire black cast.
Although, the all black cast is definitely one of the movies most anticipated aspects. Producers of Black Panther have teamed up with a whole crew of artists to make an upbeat and deep meaning album to cover the movie. The album which of course is called “Black Panther” includes some of today’s hottest singers and songwriters. The Weeknd, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Khalid and Kendrick Lamar who was recently awarded five awards at the 60th annual grammys.
According to http://variety.com/ , Kendrick Lamar stated in an exclusive interview, “Marvel Studios” “Black Panther” is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music”. During his interview he had also stated how happy he was that so many people were excited about the all black cast and he’s glad people are coming together to experience this great production.

As Black Panther had its exclusive world premier critics and the select few fans or celebrities were given the chance to watch. As many would have guessed Black Panther was given one of the highest ratings out of the last five marvel movies. On average reviews gave Black panther a 93 percent on rotten tomatoes, and a 98 percent in the “want to see category” which was given by over 30,000 fans worldwide.

Black Panther will no doubt come out on top as one of the most successful movies of 2018. As director Ryan Coogler along with “Marvel Visions”, may be seen as one of the most brilliant collaborations of the year, many know there is always room for improvement. Black Panther will put on a remarkable performance and get the fan base even more ready for future movies.

This article is very interesting to read what other people have been saying and commenting on the movie! I think it’s very informative for people who don’t know the background on why it was put out in February and why the cast happens to be all/mostly black. Overall, the article is great! I do think thought that the alt copy could be lighter in contrast with the color text. I can’t read any of it…

I enjoyed reading this article. It was a little repetitive in the beginning but went onto other things later on and I liked that. I liked that he wrote about the plot of the movie but also the music and how so many people were excited for the soundtrack.
