Starbucks has brought back its ever famous Pumpkin Spice Latte along with other seasonal drink.  This drink, available at all Starbucks locations across the country, brought back their seasonal fall drinks Sept. 1.

Starbucks has introduced a new drink this year to go along with the other seasonal drinks offered in previous years.  These drinks are grabbing the attention of everyone from celebs to the average joe.  Many Starbucks fanatics feel the fall season does not get a proper start until it includes a seasonal drink from Starbucks.

I think Starbucks feels a lot more cozy and comforting in the fall.

The Pumpkin Spice Latte and Salted Caramel Mocha have returned for the season to Starbucks and new this year they have added the Hot Chile Mocha.  All three drinks have gained popularity throughout the season with all the distinct flavors each drink has.

“Both the hot mocha and Salted Mocha Frappuccino are delicious and popular.  This drink is a great mixture of toffee nut and mocha with caramel and the salt on top completes the drink,” Starbucks employee Gretchen Olson said. “Many people describe the Chile Mocha as Mexican hot chocolate.” Olson added, “They are both unique drinks great for people stuck in the PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) funk.”

This drink is not only tasty but also provides a cozier feeling to the overall vibe of Starbucks. Welcoming the fall season provides an opportunity to introduce new things that simply do not have the same feeling in the fall.

“I think Starbucks feels a lot more cozy and comforting in the fall,” senior Mikayla Erf said. “The drinks are a lot more fun and really get you hyped into the season,” Erf added.

Many customers notice a higher amount of consumers meaning the occasional longer wait time before getting your drink.  This however does not stop the eager customers patiently waiting to get their fall drink.

“The lines are longer the fall with it being colder and all the good seasonal drinks being back,” sophomore Peyton Classon said. “I for sure go to Starbucks more often with the seasonal drinks being back,” Classon added.

Caribou has also brought back their pumpkin drinks and as Minnesotans that can spark some competition. However Starbucks being a national company and Caribou only being local they are unable to compete at the same level of Starbucks.

“There is not much competition because there is obviously people who like Caribou more and people who like Starbucks more but I would say the pumpkin flavor is much better at Starbucks,” Classon said. “Even though Caribou has more pumpkin menu items Starbucks allows you to add pumpkin to any drink,” Olson explained.

Although many people love this drink customers tend to enjoy that it is only for a limited time during the season.  This adds to the overall hype of what is available only for a short period of time.  Not limiting the days this drink is available would take away from some of the fun.

“I enjoy it being seasonal because it makes it so much better,” Classon said. “You wait all year and when it comes back you are able to enjoy it once again,” Classon added.

Starbucks reintroducing this drink every year is an intentional marketing tool to make consumers be more likely to purchase it knowing it is only available for a limited time. This drink is highly recommend to all with great reviews all around the country. Here at home Minnesotans have the luxury to get out and try the drink for themselves. It will not be regretted.
