Another iPhone is here
“Which do I like more?,” Sophomore Catherine Clements laughed heavily. “Android. No, I’m totally kidding. Apple.”
Clements had found the idea of preferring the newest Android to the new iPhone preposterous.
As of Sept. 25 the iPhone 6s and its larger twin 6s Plus went on sale worldwide. Being the next generation of Apple brand products, these phones have a substantial amount of changes and improvements from the last version. These innovative technological advances make the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus very desirable to many people.
The most notable addition interpreted in the phones is the 3D touch. A pressure sensitive screen allows the phone to register a difference in weight applied when touching the device. More shortcuts and options have been added to every part of the phone.
“Apple talked a lot about the 3D screen and I hardly use it,” said iPhone 6s owner, college freshman Damien Trenshawl. “It’s more of a cutesy addition.”
Likely the second most talked about addition is the live photo enablement. The camera records while taking pictures. Later, in the gallery, somebody can touch the photo taken and watch a video of when it was taken.
“I really like the live picture feature, because its cool to watch the experience after you take the picture,” said iPhone 6s owner junior Kalista Kensy.
Next on the agenda is the camera itself. A new 12 megapixel camera has added new depth, detail and beauty to pictures captured. The camera even has an automatic function that allows it to avoid blurry or unfocused shots.

“Yeah, the cameras pretty nice,” said Trenshawl. “I use it plenty, so the new cameras’ ability to take avoid nasty pictures is probably my favorite thing about the phone.”
The 4.7 inch HD screen creates a previously unknown beauty. The 70 percent faster CPU and 90 percent faster GPU allow for speedy loading and revolutionary graphics for the phone industry.
“I had the iPhone 5s. The 5s was a lot smaller and slower.” said Kensy. “I like the 6s a lot more than the 5s.”
Unfortunately, this amount of technology comes at a price. The 6s can go for as much as $650 on Apple.com or in an Apple store. Many people believe the price is only this high because it is an apple product.
“If you have $600 just lying around and you value technology, why not buy it?” said Clements.
“It’s a good phone, overpriced, but good,” said Trenshawl. “I would recommend it to anybody who needs a new phone and also has some money to spend.”
The last feature is the faster and more accurate pinger print ID scanner. In previous iPhones that held this function there was a constant reminder that Apple had not quite worked out the scanner perfectly. The 6s scanner is near impossible to make better. The scanning is fast and accurate and is very smart at disallowing friends access.
“I’m usually on the Apple stuff, watching the WWDC stuff,” Clements said. “I’ve been a little behind, so I don’t know exactly what’s happening, but I know the new phone is better than my iPhone 6.”

Very informational, I got a lot of information about the new Iphone. I definitely think anyone interested in technology should read this, but if you want to attract a larger audience the headline could be a little more interesting. The quotes from people who actually owned the new Iphone were really helpful, and the article was written very intelligently with goo and diverse language. It would have also been interesting to read a quote from someone who didn’t support the new Iphone, just to add contrast.
