This picture was taken at the 2020 talent show. Everyone is having a fun, not knowing this will be the last talent show for a two years.

“If you really want to do something, do it. It does not matter. Whoever says no, don’t do it for them, do it for yourself,” junior Travis Avery said as he prepares to perform in the school’s talent show this year. Avery, along with many others, is ecstatic that the talent show is finally making a comeback this year.

The talent show has not been able to happen because of COVID-19. In 2021 the school was completely online and unable to hold the show. This year it is making a comeback and going to be better than ever. With new talent and leaders, people are patiently waiting for the show.

“I think it will be fun because it’s in the gym this year… we’re gonna try to do some interactive things with the crowd,” senior Ella Spitzer said as she talks about the new things happening to the show.

Members of the student council were assigned different tasks for blast week this year. Members Spitzer and Connor McCormick are happy they got chosen to run the talent show this year. With this comes many exciting things for Spitzer and McCormick.

Spitzer said that she is motivated to make the talent show exciting and fun this year.

This year, the talent show almost did not happen due to not enough people signing up. If they did not have enough acts, they would not have been able to have the talent show this year. Luckily with the help of people promoting the talent show on social media and the school announcement, it will be held this year.

Senior Connor McCormick “announced it a few times”, and had people post about it on the student council social media in hopes to get enough people to sign up.

With the excitement of performing also comes the nerves. Performing in front of a student body can be scary at times, but it is worth it in the end. So as Avery along with others prepares to perform in the talent show, they get ready to overcome fears.

I’m doing what I’m doing. I don’t care about the haters. I don’t care what they say. I’m doing this for me,” Avery said as he talks about how he is preparing for the talent show.

As they prepare for the talent show, a lot of people are excited to go see it. After not happening the past two years, people are impatiently waiting to see the show’s turnout.
