Participants, like sophomore Flora Sherr-Nelson, worked to produce short plays under 15 minutes in length at the Festival. The first thing that we needed to include was to mention the color black and/or red. Second we had to have two generations, like a parent and a child. Our last constraint was to include a famous quote about pride and make sure to credit the author. Sherr-Nelson said.

Anything Goes is the first musical in a long time at Stillwater to feature a complete student pit orchestra. The new pit orchestra is hoped to be a new trend as the fine arts department continues to work together to create performances for the community to enjoy, Sawyer says, One of the best things about the Stillwater fine arts department is that we do so much collaboration.  Ms. Mitchell, Mr. Sadow and I have been working very closely together to produce this show.  Mr. Lindsay has been incredibly helpful with recruiting band members for the pit orchestra. I love working with the other teachers to help students create such a wonderful production.

We go together, not only a song title but also words that describe the relationship of the cast as a whole. High school performances are put together in a matter of months, and in that time the cast develops friendships on and off the stage. The ending dance to this play illustrates how the cast can communicate with one another in a loving way.
