A device that intertwines all entertainment into one easily, accessible console is unheard of. However, gamers around the world can rejoice because the Xbox One is just that and more.

Built with cutting-edge new technology, the Xbox One, upon its release on Nov. 22, will be the most advanced gaming system on the market. Loads of new innovations have been installed into the Xbox One that makes previous gaming consoles seem ancient. Besides the innovations, many parts have been upgraded from what was included in the Xbox 360. Many new games have also been created for the new system and will release around the same time. Microsoft is revolutionizing the entertainment world with the Xbox One.

Of the loads of innovations, the most impressive is the HDMI Pass-Thru development. It allows you to connect cable or a satellite box to the console and watch TV seamlessly through the Xbox. It makes switching inputs seem prehistoric.

Junior Beau Hafemeyer said, “It’s not just a gaming platform; it’s a new way to do everything on your TV. It integrates everything on your TV into the Xbox, and runs it through there.”

This is the main feature of the new console and is the reasoning behind the name. Xbox One represents its all in one accessibility. Some more innovations include the eight core x86 processer, which will allow for instant entertainment switching.

The device also contains a massive amount of memory. The initial hard drive holds 500GB of memory and 8GB of random access memory .

The cherry on top is that the Xbox One will have a Blu-ray player. The PlayStation systems have had Blu-ray players for years, but the Xbox 360 never did and in return received some flak.

Junior Nick Muehlbauer said, “I think it’s really cool that Microsoft finally added Blu-ray to their software.”

The Kinect that releases alongside the Xbox One has some incredible features. Some of these include an infrared camera, advanced 3D geometry and more accurate and precise tracking technology that can identify even the slightest gesture, voice isolation and voice identification.

These new features allow for Microsoft to surpass its competitors, even the new Play Station 4.

Hafemeyer said, “I like the quality of Microsoft products better than Sony, and the interface is nicer on the Xbox.”

The Xbox One offers a whole new entertainment experience. It tops its competitors and will be placed on the Christmas list of many. It is very innovative and has been fully upgraded from the Xbox 360. The release is so anticipated that preorders sold out almost immediately.
